We all know that Nancy is trying to get them to Catalina, but can they get past the packing?

Don't Leave Holt Without It

Laura tapped on his door with her metal class ring. Small purse was clutched in her other hand and small overnight bag hung on her shoulder.

"Ah Laura, here so soon? I would have picked you up, y'know"

She kissed him hello, "I know".

"Make yourself at home, I just have a touch more packing to do." He started to walk in the direction of the bedroom.

Laura set her purse and suitcase aside and followed.

"Still packing? You wouldn't be trying to delay our little getaway now, would you?" Laura teased from the doorway. An expression of amused curiosity, painted her face as she watched him lay out a wide assortment of clothing. He coordinated several outfits and arranged them on the bed. Remington took a few steps back and studied his selections as if he were admiring a painting in a museum. The charcoal Henley sweater and black corduroy pants met with some unspoken dissatisfaction and he opted for a single pleat chinos paired with the Atlantic blue chamois shirt instead. Once again he stepped back with a discerning eye. Although this mix and match packing extravaganza was enlightening, Laura's patience was wearing thin, and he hasn't even gotten to the socks and shoes yet.

"This is only for a weekend," Laura gently reminded him.

"Mmmmhmmm." He experimented with a few more combinations.

"You must be planning on going a lot of places." Laura quizzically assessed.

"Mmmmhmmm." he agreed, but had no idea what Laura just said.

"I only packed a few things."

"Mmmmhmmm." Remington focused on a few more choices.

"I thought we wouldn't stray too far from the hotel." Laura mentioned in a nonchalant manner.

"Mmmmhmmm." He missed her hint.

Given the extent of his wardrobe, Laura calculated a rough estimation of all the possible permutations and soon realized this could be an infinite task.

"Mr. Steele?" She used that no nonsense tone to get his attention.

"Yes?" He finally looked at her.

"When I first mentioned Catalina, what was your first thing that sprang to mind?"

"Pardon?"

"Did you imagine us doing anything that would require such an extensive wardrobe?"

She asked with a mischievous look in her eye.

"Ahh I believe I see your point, Miss Holt." He adopted a similar expression.

"So." Laura stepped sensuously closer, "Do you think you can narrow this down so we can get out of here?"

Remington reached into his inside breast pocket. He pulled out his wallet and flashed his American Express card, "I believe I have everything I need right here."

The End
