This week was more fun than I've had in a coon's age.
The defensive driving class Miss Holt sent me to
turned out to be a blast - a lot more interesting than
it appeared to be on paper. I guess she wants me to
be able to keep Mr. Steele in one piece, if he ever
gets back to town and actually gets in the car.

I learned so much about driving to protect my
passengers, but the best part was learning how to tail
another car without being spotted, and how to shake a
car tailing you. I got pretty good at it when we
actually drove around on city streets.

The highlight of the class, though, was the cars we
got to drive. Doing 'donuts' in a BMW is a piece of
cake! And that TransAm was pretty flashy, but I would
never lose some creep on the freeway with that kind of
horsepower under the hood. Wish I had the cash for
that.

I hope I get to use this stuff on the job, but I don't
know how well you can follow someone in an enormous
Cadillac limo with "RSTEELE" on the plates. What a
cludge - that beast has no pickup, and I can't even do
a U-turn on Olympic Boulevard!! It'll be a challenge,
that's for sure.
